Things don't go the way of the 8-track when they get chipped up and furnishings never need to match perfectly!
Things can get left out and askew and still look fabulous.
Favorite hats and totes become wonderful additions to the decor.
A crazy, vacationy, kitsch item usually doesn't look out of place and adds to the fun and interest of the room...Just beware that you don't get too carried away!

I love it too even though it's not currently the style in my house. I dream of owning a beach house some day and furnish it with all those chippy pieces and lots of white. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! I would love to have a beach house. For now, I like to sit inside my landlocked home and pretend that the crows I hear outside are seagulls. ROFL!
